Sketchy Design Company is the vision of John S. Young, a 20-year US Army and Special Operations Veteran. After struggling with PTSD and anxiety, John decided to channel his nervous energy into a creative space. The result was Sketchy Design Company.

Inspiration from the world of traditional and neo-tradition tattoo art.

Since John joined the US Army as a Combat Medic in 2004, he was lured by the artistic expression of traditional tattoos and traditional tattoo art. Drawing from these inspirations, John tries to combine the traditional tattoo art form with modern digital design tools.
